Although we host many different activities through our club, we are sometimes recognized as 'The Ladies Who Lunch.' A lunch is held every third Thursday of each month and we traverse all corners of Phuket to dine in great spots. For newcomers, it's a great way to experience the island. For those of us more settled, the changing venues offer fun diversions. Our lunch gatherings always offer a wealth of fun networking no matter where we dine. Thanks to one of our members, you can get a taste of the group through this video.

Check current events for our upcoming schedule. RSVP is required; members pay only 500 baht and non-members pay 650 baht.

4th Annual Layan International Golf Tournament

was a two day tournament held at Laguna Phuket Golf Club on Friday and Saturday, April 27-28. The field included 12 foursomes representing 16 different nationalities. Although we started with a rain delay and fought exhausting heat and humidity, donated balls to the water, and scrambled out of bunkers, we all declared the tournament great fun. The event concluded with a fabulous buffet at Baan Suan Layan, as we toasted the winners and rehashed our dub shots. Congratulations to the Gaelic and Netherlands Flag teams for first and second place finish for best net score. First and second place winners for best gross scores, goes to Team Thailand and Team Ireland.

Our scholarship program is the real winner, as we add funding for another Nursing Degree from the tournament proceeds. Mark your calendars for our next tournament, The Layan Masters, set for December 14th.

Garden Club visit to Thanyamundra – March 29, 2012

This was the PIWC Garden Club's third van trip to Phang Nga in the last eight months. Our other two treks included visits to the Spice Garden in Krabi and the Mangrove Reserve also in Krabi, each including a variety of stops for a delicious lunch, decadent desserts, or wiggly our toes in the sand.

Our adventures provide an excellent opportunity for fun networking, garden education, and photography. Be sure to watch our current event page for our next outing. And to give you a taste of the Thanyamundra visit, we hope you'll enjoy our little homemade video.
